Deborah Renteria is Vice President of Brand and Content Strategy at HarbourView Equity Partners, where she develops brand and content strategies that create value across the firm's portfolio of entertainment investments. Working across marketing, communications, and strategic partnerships, she helps transform intellectual property into cultural moments that expand audience reach, deepen engagement, and strengthen brand equity.
With more than a decade of experience spanning entertainment, media, and technology, Deborah has built a career at the intersection of culture, creativity, and business. Prior to joining HarbourView, she served as Executive Director of Inclusive Creative Strategy at Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, partnering closely with filmmakers and studio leadership to embed audience insights and inclusive storytelling into the development process. She designed frameworks that strengthened creative decision-making and helped position Lionsgate as a destination for diverse creators and stories.
Previously, Deborah held leadership roles at HBO and HBO Max, where she led multicultural and franchise marketing for critically acclaimed series including Game of Thrones, Insecure, Watchmen, Lovecraft Country, I May Destroy You, and The Defiant Ones. She also helped launch HBO Max and led the strategy behind Pa'lante!, the platform's editorial and social destination celebrating Latinx culture. Between her tenures at HBO, Deborah served as a Creative Strategist at Facebook, partnering with leading entertainment companies to develop innovative audience engagement and content strategies.
In 2020, Deborah was named Ms. ADCOLOR, one of the organization's highest honors, recognizing her leadership in advancing representation and opportunity across the media and marketing industries. That same year, she co-founded La Nueva Link, a community and platform dedicated to connecting and elevating Latinx creatives.
A first-generation Mexican American, Deborah is passionate about the power of storytelling to shape culture, build community, and create long-term enterprise value. Throughout her career, she has championed the belief that authentic stories not only move audiences, but also create lasting business impact.
