Nia White
Business Development
Nia White is member of the HarbourView business development team and is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Arc Advisors, HarbourView’s strategic advisory partner. Prior to Arc, she was a Partner and the Head of Investor Relations and External Affairs for Astra Capital Management, a private equity spin-out of The Carlyle Group, where she helped raise the firm’s inaugural fund and co-investments. Previously, Ms. White expanded North American institutional investor relationships for GP Investments, a leading Latin American alternatives manager. Prior thereto, she was an Investment Principal in the Investor Development Group at Actis, where she helped raise several pan-emerging market alternatives funds and opened the firm’s office in New York City. Before joining Actis, Ms. White was a Founding Partner of MAP Capital, a private placement firm.
Ms. White began her career at Goldman Sachs & Co. where she was an Associate in High Yield and a Vice President in Principal Finance in the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities Division. For the last 10 years, Ms. White has served as the Capital Access Advisor to the National Association of Investment Companies (NAIC), and she currently serves on the boards of WellbeingXP, New Markets Investors, and The Bakari Foundation and as a Steering Committee Member of Women of Color in Investments (WOCII), a Troop Leader of Girl Scouts of USA, and as a member of Private Equity Women Investor Network (PEWIN) and Jack and Jill of America. Ms. White received a BS in Economics and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
