Jonathan Serbin has over 25 years of leadership experience in the music and media business in the region. He has served as President of Asia, as well as CEO of Greater China, for a number of music’s most iconic companies, including Warner Music, Billboard, Vibe, SPIN and Mixmag. As an entrepreneur, he has founded and managed a string of successful music start-ups in the region.

Currently, Jonathan is CEO of Pacific Music Group, a record label he co-founded with music legends Ne-Yo, Sonu Nigam and MC Jin. Previously, Jonathan is Co-President of Asia for Warner Music where he was responsible for growth, operations and artist repertoire across Asia.  Jonathan was responsible for launching Warner Music’s first dedicated K-pop imprint.

Prior to Warner Music, Jonathan was the Head of Asia for Billboard, where he was responsible for the launch of the iconic music brand in China, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia.
 
Earlier in his career, Jonathan was a music attorney in New York, where he represented top recording artists, record labels and music producers. After his time as an attorney, he transitioned to investment banking, where he focused on media-sector mergers and acquisitions at Lehman Brothers and later at Oppenheimer & Co., as Head of Media & Entertainment Banking for Asia. 

Jonathan has an MBA from Columbia University, a JD from Boston University and a BA in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a Professor of Music at Hong Kong University.
